This section features suggestions for places to go in the Kelowna area where you can "let go" and have a bit of fun. Its purpose is to encourage your support of "local" Kelowna area events and enterprises.

Telemark Cross-Country Ski ClubLocated on the road to Crystal Mountain on Kelowna's West Side, Telemark Cross-Country Ski Club is a totally non-profit, volunteer supported sports club. With over 50 kilometres of trails, the area offers a wide variety of cross-country skiing opportunities. There are also a couple of snow shoeing trails to add to the fun. |

From around mid-November to mid-March their trails provide the winter enthusiast with lots of snow, forest and scenery. After your time outside you can relax at their spacious chalet with heated washrooms and snack bar. The club encourages family outdoor activities even after the ski season with hiking, biking and horseback riding allowed during the off season.
If you're tired of the brown and grey landscape that surrounds us in the city during the winter, take the half hour drive from downtown Kelowna to this beautiful little haven of winter wonderland. |

on her site on how to create your own spectacular mandalas from photographs
of nature.
Some Buddhists believe that truth cannot be expressed in words but rather require paintings such as Mandalas. The word "Mandala" originates from two words "manda" meaning "container" and "la" meaning "essence." Visit the Earth Mandalas site and see if your spirit resonates with these "Containers of Essence."
