The Forgiveness Project
Where
does a mother of two find it in herself to forgive a young man who while
in a drunken and drug induced stupor kicks her husband to death? How can
an Israeli father who's 14 year old daughter was killed by a suicide bomber
and a Palestinian man who's brother was fatally shot at an Israeli checkpoint
find it in themselves to come together to talk about forgiveness and reconciliation?
These and other remarkable stories are all featured at The Forgiveness
Project.
We
are reminded daily of terrible acts being perpetuated globally and of
the resulting darkness enveloping our world. Rarely is our attention called
to the small lights of hope being nurtured in people's hearts that a better
world is possible. The Forgiveness Project is one such light.
The
Forgiveness Project was founded by award-winning journalist Marina
Cantacuzino who came to see that she was "far more moved by stories
of forgiveness than revenge." It highlights the lives and actions
of people with the astonishing courage to propose an alternative to the
never-ending cycle of violence contaminating our world. It's vision is
to "work at a local, national and international level to help build
a future free of conflict and violence by healing the wounds of the past."

Why
Chakras? Why do you think you are drawn to working with the chakras as
oppose to using other means to access the soul?
This Month's Response:
Chakras attracted me immediately when I first read about them in a book by Swiss psychologist Carl Gustav Jung. It might have been the colours that first caught my attention. I love the colours. They triggered my imagination. They are also a wonderfully practical tool to work with. Always grounded in the body, this ancient system gives me quick and accurate insight into areas of trouble in a person's life. It's a very open system, not limited by a person's beliefs. Whether you're a Buddhist, Christian or atheist the chakras can still serve as a powerful guide and have a positive impact.
